History
In 1917, a small watch-movement manufacturing factory was established in Lengnau in Switzerland by three brothers- Fritz, Ernst and Werner. In 1957, after the production of their first range of watches, the family business transformed into watch manufacturers, Rado Uhren A.G. Rado was the name of their first line of watches. In 1968, Rado became a partner of the ASUAG. Subsequently, the ASUAG merged with the SMH group. 1998 onwards, they have been known as the Swatch Group.
Earmarked for progress because of an unshakeable belief in technology, Rado’s innovations have become a part of their identity. Using materials like lanthanum, ceramics, hardmetal and sapphire crystal, Rado brought about an improvement of the quality of watches. In 1958, the Rado DiaStar was launched.  As the world’s first range of scratch proof watches, they attained a popularity that is unabated even today. In 2004, Rado scaled another height. They manufactured the V10K, which the Guinness Book of World Records recognizes as the world’s hardest watch.

Design
Fashionable and substantially built, this watch, belonging to the Rado Original series, is made of stainless steel and hardmetal. The dial comprises an outer black rim and an inner bright blue circle. Silver tone stick hour indices and minute markers, enclosed within a 39mm case, contrast against the dial. The hour and minute hands are dark blue in colour. All of them are coated with luminiscent marker to enable visibility in the dark.  Anti-reflective scratch proof sapphire crystal prevents damage to the dial and enables easy glancing even under harsh light.
The tapering bracelet is composed of stainless steel. Polished and lightweight, it guarantees a comfortable wear.

Features
Packed with features, this chronograph watch uses quartz technology to remain updated on date and time. A date display window occurs at the 4 o’ clock position. Three sub-dials built on the dial measure 12 hours, small seconds and 1/10th of a second. It is also water resistant to a depth of 100 meters underwater.
