History
Rado was launched in 1917, by three brothers – Fritz, Ernst, and Werner Schlup as Schlup & Co. It started in Lengnau, a small town in Switzerland. In 40 years, in 1957, it became Rado Uhern AG, and launched its first watch collection. Rado’s Green Horse of 1958, was one of the first models they launched. It was advertised for its water resistance capacity, but had many advanced features. Following it was the Diastar 1 in 1962.  The watch featured a metal, which was invented to combine hardness with transparency to maintain a scratch free watch over years. In 1967, came a unique watch called Planning, anfd then there was the Dia67 Glissière in 1976, and from then on several unique inventive time pieces followed. The company has a long lasting association to tennis.

Design
The Rado Original R12391153-114.0391.3.015 is a black and silver time piece for men. It has an oval shaped, stainless steel case, with a diameter of 35 mm, and a bezel with mirror effect. On it is a hard black dial, with eleven diamonds marking out the hours, except at 3 o’clock. It has silver toned hands.
The dial rests on a hi-tech ceramic and stainless steel bracelet. It clasps through double folding deployable security systems. It has a silver crown on the side. This time piece is virile, elegant, and suitable for all occasions.

The Rado R12391153-114.0391.3.015 has Swiss quartz movement. It is water resistant up to 30 m. It has sapphire crystal, making it strong as well as preventing scratches and glare. The watch performs the hours, minutes, seconds, day, and date functions. The day and date window is located at 3 o’clock.
