The Longines Master Collection
History
Longines, based in Saint-Imeir was established in the year 1832, by Auguste Agassiz its founder. Initially starting off as a pocket watch producer, it soon matured to set up a factory in the year 1867. Soon, with entry into the international market such as the United States, the company was able to pioneer a mechanized form of production. After having laid a strong foundation using machine tools, Longines was now able to manufacture chronometers with high precision and caliber.
Slowly shifting its focus, by the beginning of 20th century, the brand began creating its very first set of wristwatches with super quality and accuracy. By mid-20th century Longines had its very first quartz clock produced, which played the role of a timekeeping instrument. In the 21st century the brand focuses on offering a perfect blend of elegance, style and tradition. Known by its winged hourglass logo, the brand is now present across 140 countries across the globe.
Design
Built to suit the firm wrists of men, the Master Complications Series (Model no: L2.773.4.78.6) by Longines is designed using a polished steel strap, with a silver ‘barleycorn’ textured dial, giving it a subtle appearance.
