Editor's Note | The Pioneer Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton is H. Moser & Cie.'s most unapologetically bold expression of mechanical transparency—stripped back, spiced up, and meticulously finished. Housed in a 42.8mm stainless steel case, this avant-garde execution combines raw horological performance with a flourish of colour and material contrast. The centrepiece is the in-house HMC 811 calibre, an openworked automatic movement that places the one-minute flying tourbillon and rare cylindrical hairspring on full display. This hairspring offers more isochronous precision, delivering performance as striking as its form. Its vertical architecture adds dimensionality to the tourbillon, making the calibre not just functional but theatrical. Elevating the visual tension is the floating orange domed sub-dial, which hovers above the skeletonised landscape with luminescent turquoise Globolight® indices and hands. Secured by a rubber strap and water-resistant to 120 metres, this is a watch made not just for admiring, but for wearing—a rare feat in the world of haute horlogerie skeletons. |
