| Editor's Note | The BR-X5 Ice Blue marks a bold evolution of the BR 05 lineage, introducing a technically ambitious design elevated by a COSC-certified manufacture movement. With its multi-component 41mm case construction and modern display, this is Bell & Ross at their most progressive. Viewed head-on, the watch retains the graphic clarity that defines the BR family. From the side, however, its sophisticated architecture emerges—layered steel components assembled with four visible screws to ensure robustness, water resistance, and visual intrigue. At the heart of the BR-X5 lies the BR-CAL.323, a high-performance automatic calibre developed in partnership with Kenissi. With a 70-hour power reserve, it is both precise and dependable. The ice blue dial introduces a new functional language to the BR collection, featuring a large date aperture at three o’clock and a circular power reserve indicator at nine o’clock. Luminous indices, skeletonised hands, and a black flange with a 60-minute scale ensure legibility while adding to the watch’s distinctive identity. |
